Sparks of 2026: #19 Wunda Got Social

We first heard about Wunda during conversation with a self builder at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon. And then they starting popping up everywhere.

There is a reason why a brand or product get traction like this. Partly it's due to being good (as in - the product works), but more importantly it's about education - and reaching consumers where they are.

Wunda would have been monitoring their own performance on forums like BuildHub, growing steady credible reviews from authority figures. But getting in to collaborations with TikTok renovators changed the game.

This wasn't just some sort of reboot, Wunda had identified a space that is going to explode in 2026. Renovation and refurbishment content, is a sign of the times.

Expensive housing, and poor quality housing stock are forcing clever buyers into choosing cheaper homes - to live where they want, or to upgrade their existing homes - if they can't afford to move.

And TikTok content, just like Youtube Shorts and Instagram, is an excellent way to connect with a different segment of the market that don't post on self build forums.

Subtle tweaks in language on the Wunda product list like 'overfloor' to describe the tile ready boards for their underfloor system just nudge peoples understanding about what a screed free solution means.

With a huge amount of effort in case studies, content and essentially, some very good products - this means next year is likely to be a blinder for the Wunda team. And the fact they've bought manufacturing back into the UK for products means their success will boost local jobs too.

For the underfloor heating market, things will be getting a lot hotter with Wunda leading the way. They are our no#19 of the Sparks of 2026.
